The Mission Begins

Nathan gave his mission farewell talk in sacrament meeting on July 10. That evening we had a family dinner at our house.

President Greg Spencer set Nathan apart as a missionary Tuesday night.  He had 4 missionaries to set apart that night (all going in tomorrow from our ward and the 6th ward: Nathan, Easton Gibson, Dallin Stagg and Nick Jackson). Emily and Jordan came up and we all got to share some words of testimony, encouragement and love with Nathan.  There is a great peace and excitement about Nathan serving his mission.

Nathan reported to the MTC at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.

After lunch, where there were a half dozen families eating and then heading to the same place as us, we took last pictures.

Elder Jacob Shipp has welcomed a few of his friends to the MTC in the past few weeks and he was there to greet Nathan, too.
